Given the positive resonse of this first workshop, I'm so pleased to offer a second chance to focus on inner expansion and healing.
Finding and feeling one's breath can open a whole world of wellness, vitality, and beauty. This workshop is dedicated to doing just that. In yoga, the breath is considered an entire layer of life force energy but in our day-to-day lives we can suffer from breath that is shallow and short.
Tapping into the breath can change your experience with the world around you and open you up to an inner strength and power you may never have known existed.
In this special 90 minute workshop we'll explore guided breathwork, easy and "sneaky" ways to feel energized in the body and we'll discuss the healing benefits of breath including: improved digestion, energy-levels, and even skin health.

- Various breaths to deal with anger and stress
- Breath meditations to promote beauty and restore radiance of the skin
- Various breaths to improve digestion and boost immunity
- Breaths to faciliate greater connection to and healing of the heart.

we will mingle over happy hour drinks and light bites in artist Kathryn Zaremba's beautiful studio. we will hold space for a discussion on what it means to love yourself and each other and to overcome the internal barriers that prevent us from doing so (facilitated by Joanna of Wandering Wellness). as with all Behold.Her events*, we will participate in individual portrait sessions with photographer Leah Beilhart, creating a beautiful photograph that is yours to keep after the event.

This 60-minute workshop will take place on Sunday, September 27th, from 3:00-4:00 PM at the beautiful Capitol Hill Yoga studio right in Eastern Market. The hour will be led by Joanna Andreae, certified holistic health coach and guided meditation instructor and is dedicated to helping brides in the throes of wedding planning take a much needed time-out.
The session will offer brides a chance to catch their breath and practice self-care in the form of easy guided meditation. It will also include a few practical tips to stay calm and centered on (and before!) the big day.
Don't worry if you are new to yoga or meditation and/or feel that the idea of quieting the mind sounds like a pipe dream. This practice is designed for all levels and will leave you feeling rested, relaxed and refreshed. All materials needed for the event (yoga mat, etc,) will be provided.
