Division is Distraction

If you haven’t noticed, there is quite a lot of polarity afoot. White. Black. Mask. No mask. Republican. Democrat. You get the picture.

I ran into a mama friend just the other day who - after glancing at a new fence build around some polarizing statues - shared that she’s been, “consumed with rage” by everything going on in the world.

How easy it is to slip into outrage and division when it’s what we’re getting fed 24/7 externally. With every walk outside, turn-on of the news, and glance at our Instagram account we see it. Division. Judgment. Rage. Distraction.

To be fair, there is a lot to be upset about. And, we live on a planet with a North and South Pole, so in a sense - a polarity of experience is exactly how this place is designed.

But that duality and division is deeply distracting - not to mention exhausting. It’s distracting to our core mission. It blocks our memory of why we came here to begin with. And it makes it difficult to lift ourselves into a higher consciousness - one that will ultimately get us out of this mess.

There is another way.

A way to transcend the quicksand of victim or rescuer or even judge.

It comes when we take a step back and look at the bigger picture of Eons rather than instants.

It comes when we take a deep breath and remember how essential it is to have a steady life force.

It comes when we respond with care and consideration instead of knee-jerk reactions.

It comes when we search for the humanizing connection.

It comes when we remember who we are. Who we truly are - an infinite soul having a temporary human experience.

It is very easy to get swept up into the drama of division. In fact, there’s a part of the mind that delights in it.

But you and I both know in our heart of hearts, that’s not the way of healing, helping, or transforming what needs to be transformed.

So let this serve as a reminder for us all. When we quell the division, we can quiet the distraction and come back to that center-point of conscious choice.

That center point of alignment is exactly what we need humanity to hold right now. With a hugely compassionate heart, and a sovereign step into creating over destroying (or at times creatively destroying), into communing rather than dividing and into remembering what we came here to do - and then getting to work.

I can’t wait to see what we come up with.
